All information, calculations, estimations, data visualizations, scenarios, and reports generated by the Meridian desktop application (collectively, the "Content") are provided solely as general factual information, mathematical models, and personal record-keeping tools.

2. No Personal Financial Advice (Corporations Act 2001)

  1. The Content does not constitute personal financial product advice within the meaning of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).
  2. The Software does not take into account your personal financial objectives, financial situation, needs, risk tolerance, or individual circumstances.
  3. The Software does not recommend, endorse, or advise upon the acquisition, holding, or disposal of any financial product, superannuation fund, mortgage product, investment security, or insurance policy.
  4. Before acting on any calculation or scenario generated by the Software, you should consider the appropriateness of the information in light of your personal financial circumstances and seek advice from a licensed Australian Financial Services Licensee (AFSL).

3. No Taxation Advice (Tax Agent Services Act 2009)

  1. The Content does not constitute personal taxation advice under the Tax Agent Services Act 2009 (Cth).
  2. Tax calculations provided by Meridian (including PAYG resident withholding, 2026–27 ATO income tax brackets, Medicare levy, Division 293 tax estimations, Super Guarantee caps, and tax deduction classifications) are mathematical estimations based on statutory Australian Taxation Office (ATO) formulas and user-input figures.
  3. Meridian Finance Labs is not a Registered Tax Agent (RTA). Actual tax liabilities, deductions, and refunds can only be formally determined by the ATO upon lodgement of an official Income Tax Return.
  4. You should consult a qualified Registered Tax Agent (RTA) or Chartered Accountant (CA/CPA) before preparing or lodging your tax returns.

4. Mortgage, Credit & Borrowing Estimations

  1. Meridian does not provide credit assistance or loan recommendations under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (Cth).
  2. Mortgage amortization schedules, extra repayment simulations, and offset account interest savings are indicative mathematical models only.
  3. Actual repayments, interest charges, and loan eligibility depend on lender policies, APRA regulatory buffers, credit scores, and fees.
  4. Consult an accredited Australian Credit Licensee (ACL) or mortgage broker for official credit assessments.

5. User Responsibility for Data Accuracy

All calculations and projections are strictly dependent on the accuracy, completeness, and recency of the statements and data entered by the user. Meridian Finance Labs accepts no liability for errors or omissions resulting from inaccurate user entries or corrupted bank exports.
